English UK, the trade organisation for UK ELT, has won a Government grant to help the sector prepare in the case of a no-deal Brexit.
The organisation is running free training days specifically targeting the needs of UK ELT educators in the week before Brexit, and tickets are going fast.
"We've won a substantial grant from the Brexit Readiness Fund to help everyone in our sector in the UK deal successfully with the possibility of a no-deal Brexit," said Huan Japes, English UK's membership director. "We are running four Get Brexit-ready days in London, Bristol, Manchester and Edinburgh. They include a mixture of legal advice on immigration, GDPR and VAT in the morning sessions and practical advice and information to help businesses reliant on EU trade to diversify in the afternoon.
"We're really delighted with the response so far and are keen to encourage people to sign up, as places are limited. We want to help all UK-based ELT educators, whether they are our members or not, prepare for a possible no-deal Brexit."
English UK awarded Government funding for no-deal business support
English UK was awarded the money by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy after putting forward ambitious proposals to help as many as possible in the sector prepare for the UK crashing out of the EU on Thursday 31 October.

Organisations giving seminars at the training days, between Tuesday 22 - Friday 25 October, include Buzzacotts, Penningtons Manches Cooper and Bonard.
Immigration specialist Pat Saini of Penningtons Manches Cooper will discuss the position of students and staff members from the EU who arrive either before or after Brexit day, while Buzzacotts will give an expert session on VAT and tax.
Bonard is surveying EU agents for seminars on travel market trends and predictions, and there will also be an update on Erasmus+.
We have arranged for the London session to be professionally filmed, and will be providing full information from the sessions on our website.
Tickets are limited to two free places per organisation.
