Get a crush on garlic at the Isle of Wight Garlic Festival
If you are fanatical about garlic bread, garlic mushrooms or garlic butter you should definitely not miss this festival. The Isle of Wight Garlic Festival is a two day food and entertainment show.
It is from 20 to 21 August just outside of the village of Newchurch. On this two days of enjoying garlic at its finest you will find around 300 trade stands, cooking demonstrations from top Island chefs in theatre kitchens, children's entertainers, archery and a giant fun-fair.
If you are thirsty you can quench your thirst in the big beer tent and enjoy fabulous ales and ciders made on the Isle of Wight. There you will also find delicious food on offer that suits all tastes.
The Isle of Wight Garlic Festival is the UK's biggest summer show. The variety of food, music, fun fair and animals makes this festival perfect for families.
The Isle of Wight is off the South coast of England. There are up to 200 ferry crossings a day operating from Portsmouth, Southampton and Lymington.
