Will you be at StudyWorld London? Help us raise money for The Eddie Byers Scholarship through our #euk3peaks raffle.
Anyone who buys a raffle ticket could win one of the prizes generously donated by the Hilton London Metropole. These include cocktails, a one-night stay, dinner, and afternoon tea. The draw for these prizes will take place at 18:00 on Tuesday 6 September at our post-appointment reception.
You'll be able to buy your raffle ticket(s) from the StudyWorld registration and information desks on Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 September. Each ticket costs £5.
The Eddie Byers Scholarship has been created in memory of our late chief executive, Eddie Byers, to help aspiring students study English in the UK and further the association's charitable mission of advancing the education of international students in the English language.
What if I'm not at StudyWorld? How can I donate?
If you won't be at this year's StudyWorld, you can still donate to the scholarship fund by sponsoring the English UK team on our Three Peaks Challenge.
We are raising funds for the scholarships by climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 September 2016. We have just 24 hours to complete the whole challenge.
We have raised over £9,000 for the Eddie Byers Scholarship fund: getting close to our target of £15,000. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far - English UK members, partners, staff, friends and family. We really appreciate your support and generosity.
Eddie believed that education transforms people's lives and wanted English UK to create a scholarship to give students from around the world the chance to study English in the UK. We feel that creating this scholarship is the best way we can pay tribute to Eddie and his passion for education, creating a lasting legacy in his name.
