Lucas Giudicelli is 19 and comes from southern France, He is studying General English for a year at English UK member centre, Anglia Ruskin University.
What made you decide to come to the UK to learn English?
One of my friends came and told me it was a really great experience, so I chose to come here for a year before I go to University. My friend was on the same course at Anglia Ruskin.
Are you enjoying yourself?
Yes, I'm really enjoying it here. I meet people from all over the world and professors and students have a completely different relationship than in France. It is another way of learning and I am really enjoying it. I want to come back to England after I've done my degree, and maybe do a Masters - I want to have another experience here.
Has anything surprised you about the UK?
The people. English people are very open-minded. It's fabulous for me. They are very friendly and if you go to a restaurant with your teacher and other students it is very easy and very friendly. Life is more simple I think.
How will learning English change your life?
I want to do a degree in Economics and English in Paris. I have made friends from Moscow, Spain, Turkey and China and that's a great experience. It will improve my English but also my French life.
Would you recommend studying in the UK to your friends?
I have already told my friends to come here!
