We know it's the busiest time of the year for our members - but we really need you to take up to 30 minutes this week to fill out a survey... and here's why.
English UK members' number one priority is for us to campaign to create a better climate for the ELT industry in the UK. To persuade the UK Government to change its policies and attitudes to our schools and students, we need robust facts so that we can prove what we say.
Because this government is driven by economics, the facts we need most urgently are figures about the value of ELT to local economies as well as to the UK economy as a whole.
So we need every single member to complete our online economic impact survey. Without your input, we cannot work effectively on your behalf.
We wrote to every centre on 1 June to ask you to complete the survey, and quite a few of you have done so. If you're one of these centres: thank you. Could you urge your neighbouring centres to do the same?
We've now extended the deadline to Friday 10 July to give everyone else time to fill it out. It should take less than 30 minutes in most cases, and doesn't have to be completed in one session.
It will be quicker if you have the following facts and figures about your centre to hand.
- Your member number
- Annual turnover and a breakdown of costs
- Staff numbers and wage bill for temporary and permanent staff
- Average student spend per week
