Accreditation UK: share your feedback on proposed developments and changes
The UK lead the way in quality assurance of language schools. The UK was the first country to establish professional bodies for the ELT sector and in 2019, nearly 500 language centres were recognised by Accreditation UK, which is run by English UK and the British Council in partnership.
Following the publication of inspection criteria, requirements and supporting guidance for 2018-21, the British Council have conducted a review of inspection processes. A series of strategy meetings and working parties took place during 2019.
English UK Membership Manager Huan Japes and Liz McLaren of the British Council have prepared a presentation to share some of the conclusions. Please take a moment to view the video (11 minutes long).
We are already moving forward with a digitalisation project to facilitate administrative developments.
But before committing to developments in the inspection process or extending eligibility for accreditation, we would like to hear what English UK members and other accredited UK English language providers think.
