UKBA will be contacting all sponsors directly about the closure of the Tier 4 enquiries email address. Please find below the communication that is being circulated ahead of the closure on 12 February specifying the correct email addresses to use.

The UK Border Agency business plan outlines the importance of clear single lines of communication across the agency (available here).

In March 2009 the Tier 4 Enquires mailbox was created to handle specific queries from the IT working group. Over time the purpose of the mailbox has altered from its original remit.

Later this week an auto generated message will go onto the Tier 4 Enquiries mailbox informing users of the correct communication routes.

Any enquiries received this week will be responded to, however to bring our services back into line with those set out in our plan we will be closing the Tier 4 Enquiries mailbox from 5pm Friday 12th February 2010.

Sponsorship - General Enquiries

Who: For educational institutions, employers and registered sponsors

What: General Enquiries, SMS Issues, User ID's and passwords, confirmation of receipt of payments and ongoing application queries.

Student Systems and Control Teams (SSCT)

Who:  Educational Institutions & Students

What: External E-Mail box to which educational institutions report non-enrolment, non attendance and change of circumstances. Currently used for Tier 4 and legacy student routes. It is also used by students to notify UKBA of change of circumstances and request "Permission to Study" letters.
