Every week, we summarise the UK news to help you understand what is happening in Britain, and what people are talking about.
UK gets new Prime Minister
There has been a lot of change in politics in the UK in the last three weeks. This is as a result of a vote to leave the European Union. The prime minister, David Cameron, resigned that morning. The people everybody thought would take over the leadership dropped out or were pushed out.
And on Monday, one of the last two women left in the race to be next prime minister dropped out after lots of bad new stories about her. So the UK's new prime minister starts work today, months earlier than expected.
She is called Theresa May. She was educated in a state school, went to Oxford University. She has had a major role in government since 2010, and has been an MP since 1997. Read her first statement as Prime Minister.
3,200 British people get naked for artist
Spencer Tunick is an American photographer who likes to create spectacular art events. This weekend he persuaded 3,200 people to get together in Hull city centre, take off all their clothes, and paint themselves blue.
Roads in the city centre were closed all night so that the naked people, who were painted in four shades of blue, could walk around for the long photoshoot. It was meant to show the problems of climate change and rising sea levels. The artwork is called #seaofhull. The photos will go on show in the city next year, when it is the UK City of Culture.
Andy Murray wins Wimbledon
Scottish tennis player Andy Murray has won the men's Wimbledon tennis championship for the second time. He beat Canadian player Milos Raonic in just three set. He told reporters he was going to celebrate properly this time, and apparently had a great time at a nightclub later.
UK woman player Heather Watson also won her first major tournament, in the mixed doubles, but it was Serena Williams of the US who won the Wimbledon women's tournament, watched by Beyonce and Jay Z. Hours later, she teamed up with her sister Venus to win She has now won 22 major tournaments.
New Top Gear host
Top Gear is one of the UK's biggest TV shows in the rest of the world. When Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond left the show last year the BBC decided to make a new version, with radio DJ Chris Evans and Friends star Matt LeBlanc as frontmen.
There has been a lot of criticism of the new series and viewing figures were not very high. So last week Chris Evans resigned from the show. People think Matt Le Blanc will stay on as the main presenter.
