IH Belfast is a specialist language school set up by a group of language teaching professionals with over 30 years experience in the field. Our aim is to provide English language students from all over the world with a comfortable, friendly and technologically advanced environment in which they can develop their language skills.

At IH Belfast we know that learning a new language can be demanding, but we also believe it can be stimulating and rewarding. That's why we only employ professionally qualified, experienced language teachers who have proven ability in teaching their students effectively and in an engaging manner.

IH Belfast is located in University Street, which, as the name suggests, is in the heart of the city's university district with Belfast’s Botanical Gardens and Queen’s University a short walk away. The area is full of bars, restaurants and shops catering for a large student population and is just a 5 - 10-minute walk from Belfast city centre.

We run year round English Language programmes for adults and two summer centres for teenagers. We offer a wide variety of excellent accommodation options for our students including our own apartments, university residence and home stay.

The school is housed in an impressive Victorian building. While it has recently been completely refurbished, the building retains its original features and character.

Spread over four floors, the school has twelve spacious classrooms, a study room computer lab with free internet access for students' use, a kitchen and dining area, and a small garden. There is Wi-Fi Internet access throughout the building.

Opened in April 2007, IH Belfast has already received thousands of students from all over the world. IH Belfast is a Cambridge Teacher Training and ESOL Exam Centre. We are also members of English UK.

International House is a member of the International House World Organisation and a founding member of English UK NI.
