Our priority is to look after our students and make sure they are happy and have a comfortable time that enhances their learning experience. We have excellent homestay providers and our student residence is within easy walking distance.
The school is in the heart of one of England’s most historic and beautiful cities. It has numerous restaurants, theatres, cinemas, live music and comedy venues. There is always something new and exciting to do.
York is Famous for its Roman, Viking and Medieval heritage; you can go on a ghost walk, visit the York Dungeon, walk the 2000-year-old city walls or just shop till you drop in the designer boutiques. Along with its narrow and picturesque streets, the world-famous York Minster (one of Europe’s largest cathedrals) and the medieval buildings provide the backdrop to the contemporary wine bars and cafes which line the riverside and buzz with energy late into the night. York was voted one of the top 10 European Destinations for food and wine on Trip Advisor and in 2023 Booking.com named it one of the World's 10 Most Welcoming Cities.
For those who want to escape to the country, York is surrounded by stunning countryside. The breath-taking Yorkshire Dales, the North Yorkshire Moors, the Yorkshire coastline and the Lake District are all easy weekend trips.
York is well connected to the rest of the UK: London is only 2 hours by train, Manchester is 1.5 hours, and Edinburgh is 2.5 hours. There are 6 international airports within 2 hours’ travel. Leeds Bradford is only 40 min
