Loxdale English Centre is housed in a beautiful Victorian mansion set in its own grounds of over 11,000 square metres surrounded by trees. It combines traditional architecture with modern and flexible classrooms and also has its own sports and dining facilities.

Located in Portslade on the south coast of England, with the sea to the south and the rolling Sussex Downs to the north, Brighton and Hove City Centre is only a 10 minute train journey away. London is only an hour by train.

The atmosphere is informal, friendly and professional. There are great opportunities to make new friends and discover new interests during a stay at the School.

The School has developed lessons that are enjoyable, challenging and designed to make the most of your stay in England. Our lessons are not only about working through a book. Out of the summer season we also teach through lectures, English Through sessions and learning about Britain today. It is an exciting course with many different learning methods that help keep you motivated and interested in learning English.

Our summer courses for young learners are for students aged 8 to 17 years with all levels of English. Even these young learners will learn about British culture and traditions as well as general English. It is a fun course with lots of different social activities in the afternoons and evenings. If the student lives further than a 10 minute walk from the school, they will be taken home by minibus after the evening activities. We also visit many towns and places of interest on each weekend day.

We also offer closed courses for young learners throughout the year.
